Erling Haaland bagged two more goals as City came from behind to beat Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.
Yoane Wissa had given the Bees an early lead as they dominated the early stages of the game, but Haaland's deflected first effort gave City control of the game and they deservedly grabbed the second to claim all three points.
Here are the player ratings from the victory against Thomas Frank's side: Ederson - 9/10 - City's man of the match in the first half, which tells you all you need to know about their performance in the first period. He made numerous important saves to keep the score down and ended up setting up the winner for Haaland with a good long ball over the top.
Walker - 5/10 - It was his first real minutes of the season, but Walker was unfortunately really poor. His age was showing to the extent that he looked to switch off fairly often, whilst his touch was also slack at times.
Stones - 6/10 - Looked rusty throughout, though his second half performance was much better than his first, which is a positive sign as it suggests he just needs more minutes in order for his performance to improve.
Akanji - 6.5/10 - Started the game poorly like the rest of his defenders but ended up having a solid game after finding his feet.
Lewis - 6.5/10 - Perhaps unfortunate to be replaced at the interval after dealing with Bryan Mbeumo fairly well, though City certainly did benefit from Josko Gvardiol's introduction to the game.
Kovacic - 6.5/10 - Solid yet unremarkable performance from Mateo Kovacic, with his yellow card worthy challenge on Wissa that actually gave the Congolese forward a fairly serious ankle injury meaning he was withdrawn at half time.
De Bruyne - 6/10 - Started the game terribly, with his incisive passing radar in the final third completely off, but had a better second half and came within inches of an assist for Haaland.
Gundogan - 7/10 - Fairly similar to John Stones in that he didn't have a great first half but was much better in the second half - perhaps to the extent where he was City's best starting midfielder - as he got more minutes to increase his sharpness.
Savinho - 6.5/10 - Slightly wasteful in the final third but kept the ball well and looked lively on City's right hand side.
Haaland - 9/10 - Two more goals for Haaland in what has been a very difficult week for him personally. Unfortunate to not get a hattrick, but with the form he's in it'd be very surprising if he doesn't get his 100th City goal against either Inter or Arsenal this week.
Grealish - 7/10 - Quiet in the first period but grew into the game and was essential in City keeping control of the game high up the pitch, though his end product was at times lacking.
Substitutes:
Gvardiol - 8/10 - Made a big impact coming off the bench, looking both solid defensively and a threat charging forward.
Rodri - 7/10 - For a man playing his first football for two months, Rodri was very impressive coming off the bench, as he barely missed a beat dictating the play in the centre of the park.
Bernardo - 6.5/10 - Didn't have much time on the pitch but worked hard on the right hand side to close the game out for City.
Dias - 6.5/10 - Like Bernardo, Dias did enough in his short time on the pitch to help City close out a victory.
Nunes - Not enough time to make an impact.
